We’re happy to announce the launch of the new website for The Pilot House.  Judy, Richard and the gang at The Pilot House were a pleasure to work with; they offered great insight into their business and helped direct us to what you see now for the final version of the site. We initially presented them with two designs, one was a more typical website design where all the content was in boxes and the other was a more modern and free layout where the content was overlaid on big photos of their restaurant.  We were really happy when they chose the modern version; this shows that they’re forward thinking and have a strong vision for their restaurant.

We also built a separate mobile site, so when guests browse their site with a smartphone they get a website that’s fast, readable and optimized for their phone.  We got to use jQuery mobile and a lot of custom code for this.

One thing we set out to do with this project was build the best restaurant website in our region.  We wanted something that looked amazing, worked great, and we could all be really proud of.  We’re going to use this approach for every project from now on.  If we’re not going to design and build something that’s the best then we’re not going to waste our time doing it.

Overall this was a really fun project and we’re all really happy with the outcome.
